Name Analysis

My sister just emailed this to me:

Name Analysis, a nifty gadget that analyzes who you are based on your full name. Here’s what it said about me:

You have a love of travel and adventure, and you enjoy sports. You also have a very strong sense of fair play and want justice. You have much enthusiasm with a driving attitude toward achievement in life. You can handle details well. You have a methodical mind. You can be quite inventive and quite curious.

You make impersonal decisions quickly, but not so with personal concerns. You like to think things over carefully, but tend to be indecisive. You are relatively demonstrative in your affections. You enjoy being stroked verbally and physically. You are clever, inventive, imaginative and youthful. You enjoy socializing. You work hard to achieve material success through your own efforts. You have a need to be up front. You have a lack of confidence in your mental abilities and do not like being forced into giving your opinion. You have a discriminating nature coupled with perseverance and family pride. You try to be prudent. You have good business acumen.

You are compassionate, highly imaginative and creative. You are a constructive thinker. You have a need for monetary security. You are a hard worker when you make up your mind to do a job.

Parts of this are absolutely true (I’m clever, imaginative and youthful). Other parts are so not me (I try to be prudent, do not like being forced to give my opinion). Most people tell me to shut up when I am forcing my opinions down their throat. I’m not indecisive. I make ALL my decisions quickly – much to Denis’ dismay, I’m sure.

Some of these things describe the way I used to be (enjoy socializing, need for monetary security). But once I got married and a good paying job, those things went away and now I hate parties (unless I throw them) and rely on Denis to watch the money, and rest assured that he’s taking care of everything.

I used my married name. I wonder if it would be significantly different if I used my maiden name…

Yours is almost exactly like mine, and our names are not similar at all…I think it’s a load of crap for the most part. Don’t you think a lot of people would say most of those things are true about them?
