Mr. Fish Jr.

A couple days ago I saw that Mr. Fish Jr.’s eyes were swollen. I didn’t remember to look it up online. Last night I changed out the water in his tank and noticed they were a bit MORE swollen. Then this morning Denis mentioned it as well and claimed Mr. Fish was dying. So first thing this morning I looked it up. And I’m relieved to note he’s not dying. That would have been very sad indeed since we’ve had Mr. Fish Jr. for over five months now.

All he needs is a fresh tank of water (which he got last night) and some antibiotics which can be bought at the pet store. Apparently it’s an infection due to dirty water. I knew I was a few days late changing the water, but I didn’t think I was THAT late. But apparently I was. Once I put in the antibiotic in the tank I’m supposed to clean the tank again in three days. So Friday night I’ll syphon out half the water and put in fresh antibiotic.

Poor little guy – the swollen eyes look very painful…
