MP3 Update: Getting There

Spent the late evening loading up more music to my MP3 player – Denis doubts I’ll get it all done before we leave, but I’m hopeful. After all, there can’t be many Vs, Xs, Ys, and Zs, so really I just have the Ws to worry about.

In other news, I never listen to regular radio anymore. And I do mean never. Having my MP3 player readily available and no talk radio in the Charlotte metro that interests me has all but ended my days of listening to regular radio. The only station I do listen to is the Christian radio station and even that is only when I don’t have the MP3 player in the car (which is rare).

However, I do read online celeb gossip rags (I know I shouldn’t, but I do), and one rag in particular keeps talking about this new singer named Mika. But I never thought much about it. Well this morning at the gym I was flipping through the TV stations and came upon MTV’s Top Ten countdown. And what musician was on? Mika, singing his single, “Grace Kelly”. And I instantly fell in love. This guy totally rocks. His music sounds like Queen. His voice is like Robbie Williams. And his attitude in the video was pure Billy Squier (am I dating myself with that one?). Anyway, upon arriving home this morning I immediately downloaded “Grace Kelly” and listened to it multiple times in the car on the way to and from work. What an amazing song, an amazing voice, an amazing talent.
