I’m back at the library today. Things are progressing nicely. Today the remainder of our stuff gets delivered. I’ll be happy about that (and so will the kids since we’ll have our DVD player back so they can watch movies on a real tv instead of a computer screen). I’m curious to see if anything got damaged in the move, though, since I had some concern about their bulkheads that held my stuff in the truck. The trailer is being delievered to our apartment and I’ve rented a UHaul to load and take stuff over to the storage unit. Fortunately our babysitter was available today to take care of the kids while we do this.
I have just printed off several copies of my resume as well as a cover letter for a position that I saw in Sunday’s paper. I also emailed my resume to a position in north Fort Mill that had a promising salary. So we’ll see if anything hits.
Yesterday we spent the day at the Columbia Zoo with the kids (see Moblog for pictures). They had a great time even though it was 96 degrees outside with only a hint of a breeze at any given time.
The animals are adjusting to their new environment. Cooper is fine about waiting to be walked instead of having the run of his old backyard. And the kitties have adjusted well, all coming out at night to spend time with us once the kids go to bed (even Mini comes out, which NEVER happened in the house). Last night at one point all five animals were with us in the living room. A day in history!
CootieBoy was diagnosed with impetigo at an urgent care doctor visit yesterday morning. Poor little guy has to have a cream put on his face and take medicine. He hates both. This morning he saw the tube of cream and shouted, “No cream! No cream!” and covered his face with his hands. 🙁 But I have to say that after having only one day of the meds his face already looks a bit better.
Okay, I’m out for the day – there’s a line of people waiting for computers and I need to get home anyway.
Will try to come back in a couple days and post more!
Glad to see that everyone seems to be adjusting. Poor little guy. Did they tell you that impetigo is contagious? Hope you hear positive replies from the resumues you sent out.
