You gotta love a quick 99 minute movie when you aren’t in the mood to watch something a full two hours long.
Last night after Denis went upstairs (he didn’t want to watch my Tivo’d episode of “Seventh Heaven”) I put in “The Lake House”, that romantical movie starring Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves as a star-crossed couple who meet when a magical mailbox allows them to write letters to each other and eventually fall in love even though she lives two years in the future.
Based on a foreign film, this remake was definitely predictable, but still had it’s moments. Sandra is suprisingly well-cast in this one. I know her typical movie role is that of quirky, funny girl-next-door kind of thing, but this one had her playing a more adult role, but with a few quirks. Keanu Reeves is what he is. Take that any way you want. *lol*
I’ll definitely be renting the original, which has to be more interesting. But this one wasn’t horrible.
