All in all a good little movie with a big cast. I thought the writing was well-done and it was an interesting premise (spokesman for big tobacco has to walk the line between helping tobacco deflect negative publicity all the while trying to be a role model for his pre-teen son). Aaron Eckhart was perfect as Nick Naylor, the tobacco lobbyist, and other stellar castmates include Rob Lowe (as oily as can be here), William H. Macy, and Robert Duvall.
I admit I was tired watching this movie last night, and fell asleep a couple times, but not because the movie was boring. On the contrary – twice I rewound the movie to see what I missed – not something I do with just any movie during which I’ve fallen asleep.
Worth the rental.
