We spent a couple hours this fine 4th of July at the movies. Yep, this time we went as a family. I had thought the movie started at 11:25 a.m. and would be $5 per person for a bit of a bargain, but apparently that pre-noon showing was YESTERDAY, not today. Today’s first show was 12:25 p.m. So we bought the tickets then headed to World Market for some quick shopping to pass some time.
Then after buying tons of popcorn, drinks and candy we found our seats. At first we were the only ones in the theater, but eventually there were probably about a dozen people (it pays to see a movie several weeks after it has come out).
The movie was cute – in many ways more enjoyable than the second one, which I wasn’t overly impressed with. This time around Prince Charming is determined to be ruler of Far Far Away after Princess Fiona’s father dies. All the old characters are back, including a few new ones (shout out to John Krasinski as Lancelot in one scene).
CootieGirl and CootieBoy seemed to enjoy it, although much like yesterday CootieBoy got a bit frisky with 10 minutes left in the movie. However, CootieGirl pretty much sat riveted the entire time and only asked a handful of questions throughout the whole movie.
Definitely worth adding to the DVD collection, although I still think “Shrek” is the most quotable of all three.
3 1/2 campire heart to heart talks out of five.
Irene and I liked it too. I agree with you, it was a lot better than the second one.
fyi, I’m really leaning towards staying alive in the blog world 🙂 I’ll take a lot at bluehost.
