Movie: Pippi Longstocking

Last night I sat down with the kids to watch the 1973 classic “Pippi Longstocking.” As I told CootieGirl, when I was her age I absolutely ADORED this movie. In fact, that movie is the reason the name ‘Annika’ was on my short list of possibly names for CootieGirl. I’ve always had a fondness in my heart for the movie and when I saw it listed on Netflix I knew I had to rent it and see it again.

What a crapfest that movie is! Seriously! Obviously my five-year-old mind had no idea what “quality” meant when it came to movies. It was so bad that at some point when the kids were distracted I hit the “FF” button to skip a couple scenes so it would end sooner. What’s funny is that when the movie ended CG jumped up and gleefully cried, “I LOVED it!”

Ugh. Obviously HER five-year-old mind doesn’t know quality from crap either.
