Movie: Madagascar

The other movie that we saw this weekend was one I picked out for CootieGirl to watch. Turns out she has seen it a few times at daycare. Who knew? Anyway, *I* had not seen it, so I settled in with CootieGirl to watch it Saturday while CootieBoy was down for a nap.

It’s the animated story of a zoo zebra (voiced by Chris Rock) who longs to live in The Wild. His friends, the giraffe, the hippo and the lion (voiced by David Schwimmer, Jada Pinkett Smith and Ben Stiller, respectively) think he’s crazy but when the zebra escapes the zoo, the go off in search to bring him back.

Yadda yadda yadda, the animals get sent away to an animal preserve after being caught in NYC but end up on a deserted island instead.

It was funny and I enjoyed the adult jokes tremendously. And CootieGirl loved dancing to that “You’ve got to move it move it” song that played during the credits.

I won’t buy it on DVD, but it was a good rental.

3 Jersey jokes out of five.

    Glad you enjoyed it though.
