I discovered some new plugins today and have uploaded them to try them out.
I got rid of one that I uploaded last week – noticably the ClickComment plugin. No one was clicking, and I noticed that it slowed down the page load, so while it’s a cool idea, I opted to remove it entirely. I also removed the Sphere Content plugin since the content it was recommending wasn’t as closely aligned with my posts as I would have hoped.
New ones I added today will enhance interaction between my visitors and commenters with websites of their own. I have installed a plugin called “CommentLuv” that will automatically detect the RSS feed of your blog (if you put it in the URL box in the comment area) and insert the title and link to your latest post in your comment here. Enhanced built in linky-love!
For my RSS feed I added an RSS Signature plugin which allowed me to put my Google Adsense code in there. Any way to generate a few more cents my way is worth it, if I have feedreaders who are willing to click on ads.
I also installed a new plugin that creates a nicer list on the “My Plugin Page” that is much easier to read, and also displays my inactive plugins as well as the ones I’m using.
commentluv is a great idea. I wish my blogspot could have it. All blogs should have this plugin.
Another great one is so commentors can edit their comments for a few minutes after pressing the submit button – good for fixing spelling, not sure of its name.
