If there’s one thing The Company loves, it’s meetings. They have a LOT of them. And they aren’t all for clients – they are for employees. I’ve attending three employee meetings since I started working here two months ago. They are update meetings to let employees know how the company is doing. Tomorrow and Wednesday they are hosting “Seven Habits of Highly Effective People” and fully expect ALL NEW EMPLOYEES to attend. I just spoke with Mr. Russell (who will also be attending that meeting) and he told me to sit in on the meeting tomorrow since Mr. Sutherland will not be in the office. So tomorrow I won’t be at my desk at all – instead I’ll be in yet another meeting. For the whole. day. *sigh*
I’m not good in meetings. Typically within five minutes I find myself fighting to keep my eyes open. This can happen in a one on one meeting or a large room – I’m just not good in meetings. Never have been, never will be. I’m NOT looking forward to tomorrow.
I will say this though – looking at Mr. Russell’s calendar it looks to be a light week. He’ll be in 7 Habits tomorrow and Wednesday, then in The Company’s HQ office on Thursday and Friday. Nice!
