Losing An Hour

I heard on the radio that this is the weekend where we lose sleep because our clocks move forward one hour. I always hate that time of year. The only good thing is that now our nights will start later because of the late setting sun, which means the kids can hang out with us after daycare. Last night we caught the last few moments of daylight to walk down to the nearby park with the kids and let them go down the slide a few times. It was too short though since it was getting dark and a bit brisk with the lack of sunlight.

So don’t forget to reset your clocks and take a nap to be ready for the time change! Because when you get up at 8 a.m. on Sunday it’ll actually be 7 a.m…

    We lost it last week.

I like the extra daylight. It’s better than I remember. Despit the hour gone.

I’m actually looking forward to the time change, because I’m hoping Ollie’s new early wake-up schedule will remain intact, so instead of waking up 6:30 – 7:30, he’ll wake up 7:30 – 8:30!

That’s right… DLST starts this weekend!!

    Sweet.

Yeah, I hate losing the hour of sleep, too… but it’s SO worth it to have the extra daylight.

Then again, in about six weeks – it won’t matter whether it’s light or dark out… as I’ll have a screaming baby and will probably be awake 24/7!
