So a good portion of our floor is being recarpeted today – including a huge stretch that is about 15 feet away from my cubicle. The office smells like garbage today. And not just regular garbage, but “bag of dirty diapers” garbage. And what sucks even more is that I have to sit in it all day long, which means by the end of today *I’M* going to smell like a bag of dirty diapers.
I’m hoping that Mr. Russell will get here and protest and tell me that we’re both going to work from home today. Because the kicker? The new carpeting starts RIGHT WHERE HIS OFFICE DOOR is. So he’s even closer to it than I am.
And no, the windows don’t open so there is NO way to escape the smell. :puke:
Update at 9:25 a.m.: Well, Mr. Russell said he can work in it because he can close his door. SO not fair. *lol* Mr. Sutherland is out today, so I’ll be occupying his office in a bit – closed door and all. The ladies in my area made it worse though – they sprayed Lysol, but the Lysol isn’t covering the carpeting smell, which means now I have TWO smells that are aggravating.
It’s going to be a GREAT day at The Company.
Yuck! I hope the smell is from adhesive that they are using and not the carpet itself. It’s Friday!
