Ah, one of my favorite topics!
“The Office” finale was awesome last night. Can’t wait to watch it again this weekend. LOVED all of Pam’s talking heads (Popeye, not being gay, the date). Loved her playing with Dwight-as-manager and having fun despite doing it by herself. Her obvious way of letting Karen know she wants her gone. Her last teary smile at the camera when Jim asks her out. Just wonderful in every way. Jenna Fisher outdid herself in this episode.
“ER” – haven’t watched it yet, but plan on watching only the Neela/Ray bits since I really don’t care about any of the other characters at this point.
I’m three episodes behind on “Ugly Betty” right now – I Tivo it in the office so I can only watch it in there when I’m on the computer, and I just haven’t been doing much computer stuff at home this week to catch up. Hopefully in the next week or two I’ll get to watch that.
We have one more episode of “Lost” to go and I watched this week’s episode last night. The Charlie episode, which I really liked on many levels. I know a lot of people hate Charlie, but I’m not one of them. Can’t wait for the 2-hr finale next week.
Okay, that’s enough of that. Let’s talk about NEXT season, which has been announced all throughout this week. Shows I’m looking forward to:
- CW’s Gossip Girl – based on the popular book series, I’ve heard that Kristin Bell (of newly cancelled “Veronica Mars” 🙁 ) will be the narrator for this. That’s the main reason I’ll watch – I love Kristin Bell, even if I only hear her voice.
- Fox’s New Amsterdam (vampires – eek!)
- Fox’s Kitchen Nightmares (Gordon Ramsay returns to US TV redoing his awesome BBC show – YAY!!!!)
- CBS’s Moonlight (more vampires – double eek!)
- ABC’s Pushing Daisies – the premise is a man with a special power to bring people back to life momentarily to solve their murders
- ABC’s Private Practice – another on my list due to casting. and I won’t stick with it because I’m not a “Grey’s” fan. However, I’ll watch the pilot to see Chris Lowell, who was Piz on “Veronica Mars”.
- NBC’s Bionic Woman – HELLO – do I really have to give a reason? It’s the BIONIC WOMAN
- NBC’s Life – detective show with Damian Lewis (Band of Brothers) as the main star. That’s enough for me.
- NBC’s Baby Borrowers – I wondered who’d bring this show over to the US. When we were in Scotland in March we saw an interesting reality show that featured dating teenagers having to see what it’s like to parent an infant, a toddler, a pre-teen, a teenager and lastly, a senior citizen. It was a fascinating show (and we only saw the last two installments while on vacation). Glad it’s coming over here.
Damien Lewis on US TV every week? Be still my heart. I’m going to investigate about that show right now.
