Last night our church had karaoke night as a kick-off for small groups to form for the winter session. About 100 people showed up, and we had about 8-9 performers at the beginning of the evening (including myself – I sang “She’s in Love with the Boy” by Trisha Yearwood). Then we did the business part of the night re: small groups, and then we had another 7-8 performers. The current moblog picture is of two of the guys from my church – my pastor on the left, and Jarrett, one of our new staff guys, on the right. Their song? “In the Ghetto” by Elvis Presley.
It was a fun time – only a couple hours long but filled with laughs all around. Denis stayed home for football and the kiddoes went to Miss Marilou’s since the karaoke was for the adults. I told someone at the event that we needed to have church karaoke night more often.
