Chaos afoot recently. Computer died last week. Washing machine died last night in the middle of a load – the internal compartment and agitator no longer spin. So my clothes just sat in soapy water for an hour before it shut off. Nice. Even better? Repairman can’t get out until next FRIDAY. I’m thinking that if we can go to the Sears after we close on Monday and buy a washer/dryer we can have it delivered at the house before that repair date. If so, I’ll just take my laundry to the new house for that last week before we move in and just have the apartment complex take the broken washing machine back.
But not only that – this morning I left early to take the kids to daycare. It should have taken ten minutes. It took 45 because traffic was bad on I-77 (backed up all the way to my entrance, which NEVER happens – I usually go at least 7 miles up the road before I hit traffic) and everyone was using my daycare road to take a detour around I-77. I finally dropped off the kids and called my boss to warn him that I’d be late because I-77 was a parking lot. However, sometime in between dropping off my kids and getting back to I-77 it cleared up, and it took me my normal 30 minutes to get to work. Very strange.
Add to that? I didn’t remember til I left the apartment that I was supposed to attend a meeting at the office at 8:30 a.m. to discuss our impending office move. I missed that entirely, obviously.
Sorry to hear about all your problems this morning, but at least you found time to update us with the news. Good for you.
