It’s Nice To Be Cash-Fluid Again

Denis and I went so long without having money for splurges that we’ve been taking advantage of the area’s cheaper prices for entertainment. Denis went looking online this past weekend at the cultural offerings in Charlotte and South Carolina and we found that there are a lot of fun theater things taking place. We’ve bought tickets to MacHomer which is a one-man show where Shakespeare is done in the voices of ‘The Simpsons’. We also bought tickets to see The Colin and Brad Show which is an improv show featuring two guys from ‘Whose Line is it Anyway?’. Last but not least, we discovered that the South Carolina Philharmonic is doing a Symphonic Movie Spectacular next May wherein they play music from various movie soundtracks such as ET, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Schindler’s List and Harry Potter, to name a few. We got tix for that one too.

We’ve decided that once we’re settled in to the new house and once Denis is settled into his new real estate schedule we will begin having at least one night out a month for just the two of us to spend time together.

All of those sound like so much fun!! 🙂

Colin Mockre (sp?) is my favorite on “Whose Line”!!

My brother and I were going to watch a John Williams-y concert last winter, but it ended up snowing too badly for us to go, alas. I hope it works out better for you guys. 🙂

PrincessJami – I think it’s safe to say that if it snows in May in SC then we’re in a whole heap of trouble. *lol*
