It’s FRRRRRRRIIIIIIII-Day!

I cannot even BEGIN to explain how happy I am that it is Friday. I’m THRILLED!!! This has been a tough week at work and I’m excited to have two days off.

Tomorrow the family will be heading to Summerfest in York which is supposed to be a ginormous art/craft/car/music/food festival that gets upwards of 50,000 people in attendance. I had thought about doing a booth there for my art and blankets, but opted to just ATTEND this year and use it as a learning experience. If it looks like my stuff will fit in nicely, then I’ll definitely submit an application to be a vendor next year.

Sunday I’m singing at church and then want to take the kids to the pool for a few hours. The pool closes in two weeks and they haven’t been in about the same length of time, so I really want to try and get them to the pool as much as possible between now and Labor Day. Labor Day we’ll be spending a LONG time at the pool since it’s the last day of the entire pool season.

In other news, I finished a new baby blanket last night – see sidebar to the right. It’s a baby animals yellow blanket and it’s really cute. This morning the kids got ready in record time and I actually had an extra 15-20 minutes, so I went ahead and got started on my next adult-sized blanket. This one has pink flowers on a white background and I’m using the hot pink as the solid color on the other side. CootieGirl walked in while I was working on it and became excited (since it’s pink) and sad (because I’m planning on selling it). Hopefully I’ll finish the pink one tonight because I need to begin cranking out these blankets over the next few weeks.
