Today I sent out our first official RSVP request for our annual White Elephant party (this is our ninth year holding it), and we’ve already almost doubled our numbers from last year! YAY! LAst year we had eight guests, for a total of ten people. Right now we have 14 guests confirmed, for a total of 16. However, I know of at least 5 other people who have verbally told me they are coming, so in actuality we are up to 19 guests, for a total of 21 people. THAT is outstanding.
So far it looks to be a great mix of people of all ages and backgrounds, which always makes for a fun party. Last year, despite our low numbers, I know everyone had a great time and conversation was never lacking – I know this year will be much the same since most of the folks from last year are attending again.
I hope these five weeks go by quickly – I always love the White Elephant party and can’t wait to get down to it and begin prepping food, decorating the house for the holidays, and finding the perfect White Elephant gift.
