It Seems Empty

Denis is doing a great job taking stuff over to the house from the apartment. Last night when we arrived home it felt positively EMPTY – the kitchen cabinets are bare, the closets are bare, all that’s in the living room is the furniture. It’s great!

Over at the house I saw the kitchen table and chairs and I have to say I’m REALLY pleased with my choice, having only seen it online! The table is BIG with the leaf in it (easily will seat eight) and the six chairs are sturdy and built well. Denis thinks I should order two more chairs so that when we have the eight people we’ll have the seating, which I’ll think about but don’t know if I’ll do. I don’t know where we’d put those two chairs when we’re not using them. Sure the house is bigger, but it’s not THAT big that we have room for superfluous chairs!

This morning CootieGirl’s bedset gets delivered. She’s VERY excited and keeps talking about how “[her] bed will come out from the wall HERE.” (as she gestures toward the wall on which her headboard will rest).

Three more sleeps and we’ll officially be in the house!

Am so delighted for you all. Wish I could be there to help and to join in the excitement. I’ll be praying that the moving experience will go smoothly and quickly.
