Today is one of the slowest workdays I’ve experienced in a long time. Downright painful. Mr. BIL was on a conference call this morning from 9 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. then went into an 11:00 a.m. meeting that went to 12:30 p.m. and immediately left for a 1 p.m. meeting offsite. He has yet to come back, but I do know he has a 3:30 p.m. here in the office.
What have I done today? Well, from 10:30 – 11:00 a.m. I made a couple copies and ONE edit to ONE document. And when I got back from lunch I typed up some insurance forms for one of his clients. That took about fifteen minutes. There’s just NOTHING for me to do.
Add to that it’s the Friday before a 3-day weekend and you have a LOT of secretaries chomping at the bit, waiting for their bosses to leave so they can leave. And other secretaries who can’t leave because their bosses are determined to put in a full day rather than take advantage of the Monday holiday.
