Immediately Answered Prayer

So you may recall my post from yesterday where I talked about praying for CootieBoy – both for him to get well and for his behavior.

Talk about immediate results!

Not only did he wake up yesterday with no more fever and in a perfectly healthy state, but he ended up leading the playground line yesterday afternoon (that reward is reserved for the child that displays perfect behavior throughout the rest of the day).

His teacher this morning said that she noticed that he’s touch-and-go time is at about 4:30 p.m. She said that she thinks that by that time he’s reaching his point of being too tired to continue with the day, and that he gets frustrated more easily. So I’m going to think on that today and see if I can come up with an idea to keep him from acting out between 4:30 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. when Denis picks up the kids. Even if it just means having him play quietly by himself for 15-20 minutes while the kids are on the playground or something. Something to get him into a calm state so that he’s able to handle that last hour on the playground.

In any event, I just have to say thanks to God for the answered prayer on both counts.

It may be that he, and a lot of other children, are forced into having activity when what they would really like, and need, is quiet time or a nap. That is so true of us who are introverts ~

    Marmie – they do all get a nap, from 1 – 3 p.m.

And CootieBoy is FAR from being an introvert.

You must’ve been so relieved for the immediate answer to prayer. 🙂 Even “little” miracles make a big difference.
