Mr. Russell called my cellphone this morning. But since my cellphone is broken I could not answer the call at all and so it went into voicemail. I’ve tried for the past two hours to access my voicemail but my phone just won’t let me do it. I can occasionally get a button to respond, but not in the right way.
Examples:
When I hit “select” to go into my message list, it turned on the voice-dialer.
When I hit “read” to see a message that came in a few moments ago, it changed my volume from 7 to 6.
I still haven’t been able to cursor down to the “voicemail” prompt which will play whatever message he left for me…
Scratch that! I just now was able to finally get into my voicemail although the phone volume is next to NOTHING (despite supposedly now being on “6” which is still the second highest volume level).
I sent him an email explaining that my phone wasn’t working and that The Firm makes you punch in a code to dial long distance so it can track all long distance calls. I’m sure he thinks I’m avoiding him, but I honestly had hoped to talk to him if only to determine whether I should send this laptop back to The Company or keep it for ad hoc projects he may have in the future.
