Okay, so apparently some of Richard Linklater’s classmates are suing him for a movie he made over ten years ago (“Dazed and Confused” – one of my all-time favorites) because of the supposedly negative portrayals of their namesaked characters.
Wouldn’t you think if they were REALLY upset they would have filed this a bit earlier instead of waiting 11 years? I mean, if they feel that bad about having their names in the movie, I just think they would have protested a bit earlier.
I’ll bet you ANYthing that 11 years ago when the movie came out they were completely onboard and bragging that Linklater used their names in his movie.
Three words: statute of limitations.
I need to go watch the movie again, I don’t remember it being “that” good.
Hmmm. I wonder if I have seen it at all?
