How is Your Sunday Afternoon?

I’m at work right now. Yes, it’s Sunday. But duty calls – Mr. BIL has a big mediation tomorrow and needed me to come in and work on the final notebooks for it. He’s in there proofing right now and as soon as it’s done I can make all the copies and get out of here.

This morning I woke up with such a deep voice that I was able to EASILY sing the deep bass line for the Brooks & Dunn “Husbands and Wives” cover that we sang. Got lots of compliments on that one. *lol* Our sound was completely messed up – not for the people ATTENDING the service, but for those of us on stage. I don’t know WHAT the sound guy did last week to our board, but this morning Miz M (the keyboardist) and I couldn’t hear the keyboard or the violin in our in-ear monitors although everyone else could. And our worship leader couldn’t hear himself in HIS in-ears even though everyone else could. Just before the first service I tossed aside my in-ears because they were essentially useless. Despite BARELY being able to hear the leader in the one up-front monitor we set up for Miz M, I was able to sing in tune and only had my congested throat/voice crack once the entire morning.
