Well, HR just told me that I’m getting a new attorney. I’ll still support Mr. BIL, but now I’m taking on another attorney as well. She started with the firm a couple months ago and seems nice enough, but I have to tell you that I’m leary about working for a woman. The last time I worked for a woman I was MISERABLE beyond all belief. I swore I’d never work for a woman again in my lifetime.
Well, it seems I have no choice. The secretary the woman is currently using is moving up to the third floor, and since I’m the only one on The Deuce who supports one attorney, it looks like I’m the obvious choice.
The one good thing? She seems to hardly ever be in the office, and her workload doesn’t seem that big since she’s new. So it may not be bad after all. We’ll see.
Yeah, my one time working for a women (outside of retail) was a disaster. I’ll be praying for you.
I think that strong women have a hard time working for or managing one another.
I’ve had good women bosses and bad women bosses. You should go into this with a good attitude and you’ll do fine. Any nickname for the new boss?
No nickname as of yet – but I’ve been told by the woman who has supported her the past couple months that the niceness I’ve experienced in the hallway with this attorney is what I’ll experience with her as a boss. So I have high hopes.
