Happy New Year!

Happy 2005 everybody!

True to form, around 11:23 p.m. I fell asleep on the sofa. Denis woke me up at 11:59:45 and said, “Honey, 15 seconds to go.”

I sat up, watched the remaining 15 seconds of 2004 go bye-bye, kissed my husband, had a sip of champagne and went upstairs to bed.

Am I a wild child or what?

*lol* – no, I’m not pregnant with Baby #3 – we may start trying for a third in the spring, but we’re on a wait and see holding pattern as of now.

So, you are thinking of breaking up the perfect family? Boy and a Girl. You are guaranteed one or the other with #3.

With Baby #3, you definitely will need a bigger house *lol*, but I am sure that Denis could help in that area!

By the way Happy New Year to the Cooties and your families.

HAPPY NEW YEAR to you, as well!! 2003 was full of so many blessings and answered prayers ~ 2004 promises to be the same. May His grace, peace, protection and provision fill your body, mind (heart), spirit, and home in the new year. You are loved by Him and me. 😉

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Can you believe it’s 2003? It seems like just yesterday it was 2002…

We had a quiet night at home with the animals, flipping between various cheezy NYE celebrations. At midnight we had some champagne (I had about a tablespoon’s worth), some chocolate chip cookies, and promptly went to bed about 12:10 a.m. Boy, we know how to live it up, don’t we?

In the old days (re: pre-marriage) I would party like a fool. When I was a raver I’d go to the parties in DC and hang out – it was really the safest place to be – I’d be off the roads during the peak drunk-driver hours, and could blissfully dance all night and just hang with my friends. The greatest rave I ever went to was a New Year’s Eve rave in Maryland, in 1993. It was an Ultraworld Production called Resolution (it’s fitting that this year’s UP party was also called Resolution). It was a FUN FUN night that I’ll never forget – the most amazing house deejays were there that night and the countdown the midnight was a blast (imaging being surrounded by 4,000 people in a warehouse screaming the ten second countdown).

Today we head over to Queens for the day – to have a belated Christmas celebration with Denis’ mom and brother, and then to visit Tara and Rob and (finally) see Baby Grace. YAY!

Happy New Year! We were asleep by 9:30 I was annoyed because neighbors screaming “happy New Year” woke me up but not Grace thankfully!! So at least you guys stayed up! Can’t wait for you guys to get here! Grace is napping so she should be in full party mode when you get here!

Hmmm, I think I beat Tara on the early-to-bed thing. I was in bed by 9:00pm. That’s so sad…

    *laughing*

Jen, it could be worse…we could have been the drunk guy screaming “Happy New Year” in the street!! I would much rather be the one in bed!!!

Tara, you’re so right. I was pretty happy to get a nice night of sleep before my day off.
