I have to admit I was a bit worried about the weekend and my ability to continue to follow my diet plan. However, despite not having a scale to keep me accountable yesterday or today, I’m happy to report that TONIGHT upon arriving home I found that I’ve actually lost another pound in the past three days. Not only that, but since this was a nighttime weigh-in, chances are high that my scale will show 20 pounds gone tomorrow morning. I’m VERY excited about that.
The end of Lent went well – I managed to have a few pieces of chocolate without going crazy. I also did well on fast food – instead of getting a cheeseburger, fries and shake (which I’d normally get), today I simply got a cheeseburger and small frosty at Wendys. And on Friday on the way up to NoVA I only got a cheeseburger and fries with a cup of water, and only ate half the burger and half the fries. Then at church on Saturday night they were handing out Papa John’s pizza, and I took one slice of cheese pizza and that’s all I had along with some water. And keeping accountable at my mom’s was pretty easy as well, so I think I’ve come a long way in my attitude towards food. I still seek food when I’m bored, but I’m hoping that I can find alternatives to that at some point.
