Good News All Around

Two happy things to report!

First, my friends Jean and Harold announced they are preggers with Baby #2. Big-brother-to-be Ollie will have a BLAST, I’m sure! CONGRATS!!

Second, my friend Glad-ball was recently laid off (she of the mortgage industry) and was concerned about her marketability given that she is 3 months pregnant. However, she worked a temp job for a few weeks and they just offered her the position full-time, knowing that she’s pregnant. That is a major blessing since she and her husband were VERY CONCERNED about what they would do if she couldn’t find a company to take on a pregnant woman (sure, they can SAY that’s not why they didn’t hire her, but you can’t prove that’s why they don’t hire her). In any event, it’s a non-issue since they offered her the position soon after she began temping.
