Goin’ to Hollywood

Thank goodness the bad audition portion of AI5 is nearing it’s close. I think there’s only one more city next Tuesday and then Wednesday begins the quarter-final portion in Hollywood.

I look forward to meeting more of the folks that they judges put through – it’s always interesting to find the one good one they never focused on (hello Bo Bice, we hardly knew ye until halfway through the quarter-finals, and when I finally heard you I fell in love and picked my winner).

No one has really stood out for me, while Denis is convinced the blonde country singer that lives with her grandfather because her daddy’s in jail is the one to beat. I disagree – she’s too much like Carrie that I think fans won’t vote for her.

As for last night, you know that flirty cocky guy that was convinced he was God’s gift? He had a decent voice, and he was an obvious flirt (he reminded me of a guy I once dated), but he totally turned me off when he did that weird dance thing in his post-audition interview. What was THAT?? Stay off the dance floor, dude, or you’ll lose all your cool points.

Reviews of singers begin next week, as we slowly start to remember names and faces and pick out the ones we hope will win.

    I have two favorites…

The one black girl with the three kids that has lived in 40 different homes before the age of 15. Who left her husband and started a new life for herself. She could sing, she had a great personality and I thought she was kinda cute and sassy.

My second fav. is the 16 yr old girl who had the famous Grandmother. You know the one, she had a squeaky natural voice but her singing voice was very defined and knocked my sox off.

To my disappointment there aren’t any hot guys this year.:weeping:

I can’t wait to see all the winners in Hollywood. I agree with you about the guy who was so full of himself. I doubt he will last very long.
Paris (the girl with the famous grandmother) is wonderful. I think she will be around for a while.
I’m glad to find another fan!
