Gifties, Gifties

Okay, so now comes the time for the post in which I brag about all the cool stuff we got for Christmas. And we got a lot of cool stuff – most of it was a surprise since we didn’t really have anything specific that we asked for. Yes, we have our Amazon wishlists, but half that stuff is just there as a placeholder because we figure we’ll buy for ourselves at some point.

CootieGirl got: Lots of princess/Barbie stuff (dolls, Barbies, backpack, rug all in various shades of PINK and PURPLE), lots of books, lots of clothes, a couple DVDs, a Teddy Bear music figurine, a couple CDs, a point and click video camera, a suitcase.

CootieBoy got: Books, some clothes, Blue’s Clues stuff, Go Diego Go stuff, a couple stuffed animals, a cow pillow (which he loves), a couple DVDs, a couple CDs, a musical figurine in the shape of a seal, Bob the Builder stuff and an outdoor sand activity table. Also, two costumes for boys: a knight and Capt. Feathersword. As of last night he was willing to wear the HELMET for the knight costume but not the actual clothing.

Canon Digital Rebel XT 8MP Digital SLR Camera with EF-S 18-55mm f3.5-5.6 Lens (Black)Denis got: a new Canon EOS digital camera and 2GB CF card to replace his old one (which comes to me, and mine goes to CootieGirl), a few books, some foodie stuff, some cds. The camera was really his big gift of the day.

Jane got: a few movies, a few books, a few CDs, a cute little black purse, some toile boxes (very cool – for the guest room), an FM transmitter for my MP3 player, and a few other things. The big surprise was that my mom got me the hall tree that I had on my wishlist at Amazon. I really put it there as a placeholder to remember to get it in the spring. But Mom got it for me – it’s on backorder and should arrive in the next couple of months (picture on left shows the stand in a different color).

And amazingly, in addition to all these gifts, we also received monetary gifts from both sides of the family – we are blessed by their generosity.
