I don’t think I mentioned this, but a few days ago CootieBoy headbutted me. And it HURT. I was putting him to bed, and we had just finished reading a book and turned out his light. We were having some cuddle time as he fell asleep with his head on my shoulder. We were talking about all the fun he had had on that particular day, when suddenly he reared up, paused for a moment, and then slammed his head against my right eyebrow bone.
I saw stars as I pushed CootieBoy away from me. CootieBoy immediately grabbed his head and began crying. We both cried, “You hurt me!” (funny that he would blame me for having the nerve to get my head in the way of his headbutt)
So when I left his room a few minutes later I didn’t give it another thought and went on with my night. But today? A couple days later? When I touch my eyebrow bone, it HURTS. Very badly. I’ll have to check him tonight and see if he’s feeling anything too. We can commiserate by having ice cream and watching Whorey Haley finally get the boot on tonight’s American Idol.
My young cat, Ashley, likes to give me headbitts when I’m lying in bed watching a DVD. Every morning I wake up with a bruissed nose and bent glasses.
