Last night I made my first batch of cookies for next weekend’s White Elephant party. I made the family super-duper-secret recipe, which we call Chip Balls. In past years they just haven’t come out the way my mom makes them. It’s frustrating, because I know I use all the right kinds of ingredients, and yet mine somehow always end up a bit off.

Last night I made the PERFECT BATCH of Chip Balls. I was so excited as I pulled out the first pan from the oven because I just KNEW they were perfect.
Finally. I’ve been making them for 15 years and I FINALLY got it down right.
And no, I will not be posting the recipe here. As I said, it’s a secret family recipe and will only be handed down to descendants birthed in to the family.
