Garage Sale A Success

The garage sale was a success. We made about $85, which is reasonable for a four-hour sale. We got rid of a reasonable amount of stuff and the rest will get picked up on Wednesday by a charity group. I’ve already called to schedule that pickup.

There were a couple items I was surprised did NOT sell – a dresser I had marked for $15. The drawer pulls alone cost $24, so $15 was a bargain. Didn’t sell. I also had three authentic 1950s diner chairs for sale for $10 each or $25 for the set of three. No takers. It’s possible they didn’t sell because I am not selling the table that goes with them. So I’ll go ahead and keep the whole set of chairs and they will become an eventual “activities” table when they get a bit older and need more space.

Anyway, we were initially worried about rain but it ended up being a GORGEOUS cloudless day. So much for those weathermen! Denis has decided CootieBoy is going to become a meteorologist because it’s the only job out there where you can be wrong 9 times of out 10 and still get paid.
