Last night when we got home from Charlotte Denis saw a small snake in our driveway. When he turned on his van lights to try and see him better he slithered in the direction of our garage.
Have I mentioned that our garage door doesn’t close all the way and that there is a good 2-3″ gap between the door and the ground at all times?
While I don’t mind snakes, mice, or lizards living their lives in general, I do oppose them living their lives in my open-access garage. So I’m making it our next project to get that garage door fixed so that it comes all the way to the ground. Because once the cold comes I fear my garage is going to become a SAFEHAVEN for those things if it remains partially open.
In other news, our frog is still with us. Last night he was on the other light outside our front door, just sitting there having a good time eating bugs. And every morning he is gone (no idea where he goes during the day – he’s obviously on the night shift).
I tell ya, I’ve seen more wildlife since moving here a year ago than I did all five years living in Jersey.
The snake I saw was on the thin side and probably about 10 to 12 inches in length, possibly more. It slithered pretty quickly in the dark. Oh, I’m sure we’ll get tons of critters living in our garage this winter. I like how you say “I’m making it our next project…” Why don’t you just say, I’m making it hubby’s next project? LOL
I was trying to be tactful, but okay. =)
