Well, we have measured, searched online, commiserated and come to a decision. We think that we’ll be able to get wall ovens that are the size we need without taking apart the whole kitchen. That’s a relief and we’ll be on the hunt for the model that Denis feels best about.
I took over four large boxes from the apartment to the house tonight. And Denis has a lot of free time tomorrow to be able to take over more stuff from the apartment. We really want to move out as much as possible from the apartment to make moving day go that much faster next Friday – and this way more can be taken from storage so that there is that much less to do on Saturday.
Tomorrow’s goal is to get the mural background colors on the walls in the kids’ room. If I can do that I’ll feel like I’m getting something accomplished. I’ll be sending Denis to Home Depot to buy the supplies I need to get started on that and crank out the wall color (fortunately I’m only painting one wall in each room).
Lastly, because the house has almost no overhead lights (only in hallways, baths, kitchen, dining room and breakfast area), we need to buy a houseful of lamps. I went to Target’s website today and picked out some really nice lamps. Total cost: about $500. I haven’t bought them yet, but I may go ahead and order them so that when we move in we’ve got light already set up instead of wandering around in the near dark at day’s end.
