I just got word that Mr. Sutherland’s group is working on their holiday card mailing list. I just got the initial spreadsheet and it has…wait for it….654 names on it.
Now, at my old company the entire company got together and came up with a list of about 2000 people that got cards. My entire COMPANY. And then we’d divvy that up between 5-6 admins so that each admin got about 350-400 TOPS. There were some exceptions – those bankers who kept their list themselves and had their admins send out. There were also those bankers who hated holiday cards and didn’t send any. So it evened out in the end, to 350 per admin if we all coordinated and did our job.
So to even contemplate doing 654 cards just makes my heart sink. I was hoping that by coming to The Company I’d no longer be expected to do it, especially since Mr. Russell said he never sends cards.
Bring them home with you next Thursday and we can bang them out within two hours while watching TV.
:cheer:
*lol* Um….is it the holiday time already? I thought we were still in OCTOBER. The cards haven’t even been ORDERED yet and won’t go out until December.
You use one of those bottled letter lickers instead of your tongue, right?
Oh, send some to me! I’m good at stuffing, sealing and labelling envelopes. I can even sign the cards for you…it was kind of awkward when I had to do that for the sales department, one year.
Where I work, we use glue sticks to seal envelopes. Does that help out your anxiety, a little? 😉
To clarify: Does that make your tongue feel a little better, knowing it won’t have to lick all those envelopes?! 😉
I’ve already gone out and taken care of all the Holiday Gift for the Managers. Also, the Stores have Christmas stuff out already I guess I was just following suit.
That reminds me, I totally need to get on top of finding just the right Christmas Card this year. In any event, when ever you have to send out the Christmas Cards, let me know and I will help out if help is needed.
Glue stick is the way to go. I hardly ever lick envelopes anymore and I find the water/sponge stick things get gummed up. Definitely go with the glue stick idea.
surely you people would know by now that I am not one to lick envelopes? I haven’t voluntarily licked an envelope in YEARS. That’s what SCOTCHTAPE is for when you can’t find a glue stick.
