Less than two months to go! WOO HOO!!!
We had a bit of good news this week on the Disney front. My dad is getting our park tickets through his company, and when we went online this weekend to look at the options, we saw that we had missed the ordering deadline for the kind we wanted (3 days with 2 days free). He emailed the perks department (or whatever it’s called) and they sent him a revised list of available packages.
Turns out, they are offering an even cheaper deal than we originally planned on getting. I had been budgeting $250 for the adult tix and $219 for the kids. Add in $200 for SeaWorld, and the grand total was over $1,100. Whew. Expensive! However, Denis and I opted NOT to go to SeaWorld, and instead requested the basic “7 day base rate” ticket for the Cooties – the grand total for tickets? $638. Yep – almost half price for MORE Disney days. I am TOTALLY stoked that we are saving so much on tickets, because this means we can actually DO MORE while we’re there.
And besides that, I was able to shuffle one of our lunch reservations to another day with no hassle, so that we could plan on going to Magic Kingdom on a day when most park-goers will be going to a special event at another park. I’m very excited – I know the kids are going to have a great time, but I know all the adults will too.
Your family will have a blast at Disney! I am totally jealous-I don’t get to go until next summer 🙁
Oh that is too bad about Seaworld. The last time I went to Disney/Florida (I was 18) The best time I had was at Seaworld. and the time before that (I was 9) the best time I had was at SeaWorld. Of course they were filming Jaws 3 when I was a kid so that was an Experience. As for those ticket PRICES.. Wooooo, no wonder you are saving like mad. I had no idea that was the cost. I almost feel as though you should take up a collection from your friends. Disney is laughing in his grave right now… that is just crazy. You would think Kids would get in for free…
Ace – kids under 2 are free, kids 3-9 are discounted, kids 10 and up pay “adult” prices.
Yeah, only at the Magic Kingdom are 10-year-olds “adults”. Heh. 😉
This sounds like sooooooo much fun! I’m so excited for all of you! And now you have more money to spend, which is nice for the extra days you’ll be there. 🙂
