Mr. BIL is leaving soon. HIP. HIP. HOORAY.
Since I arrived at 9:30 a.m. he has actually been in his office for a total of about, oh…40 minutes. He’s 9 a.m. meeting went until noon (was supposed to end at 10 a.m.). Then he went to lunch. Then I went to lunch. And while I was at lunch he went into his 2 p.m. meeting, which was only supposed to be 30 minutes. It went until after 4 p.m. Then he went into a “quick” pow-wow with another attorney that lasted 20 minutes. He has spent the past 30 minutes returning calls and checking emails. He is now doing his timesheet for the day and is heading out.
Meanwhile, in an attempt to clear off my own desk, I’ve been a busy little bee getting things filed, copied and mailed, and otherwise DONE so that Mr. BIL doesn’t freak out that he didn’t get anything done. I’ve been able to tell him that YES, things did get done while he was in conference rooms all day! He’s quite happy and in a jovial mood. With any luck as he leaves (in about 10 minutes I would venture to guess) I hope he says, “If you are done with your work, head on home!” because that’ll mean that I just need to make one copy of a document for Tuesday morning and then turn everything off for the day and go home and play me some Lego Star Wars!!!
