I never did write about CootieGirl’s successful sleepover on Saturday. From the little bits and pieces she has shared, it sounds like Little Miss M (the name by which the little girl will be called) is her new best friend. Instead of annoying each other, it turns out the sleepover solidified their friendship. We’ll see if it survives once CG starts at her new preschool next Monday and they only see each other on Sundays.
The girls had a blast at Chuck E. Cheese playing games and eating pizza. So I was surprised when I heard they ALSO went to McDonald’s on Saturday. That’s a full day of fast food (much more than she gets at our house). They played with Little Miss M’s toys, watched a movie, and then went to bed. CootieGirl got to sleep in a Cinderella sleeping bag, which made her very happy.
Other than a few brief moments when it was time for lights out did she have any bad moments. She got a little scared about sleeping somewhere other than her room, but was quickly put at ease by Little Miss M’s mom. She slept the whole night through with no incidences.
As I said, she showed up at church all bubbly and happy, so it was a successful sleepover!
We’ve promised to have Little Miss M come over to reciprocate, and our goal is to head to the zoo in Columbia since we have a membership and can get Little Miss M in for free. We know they’ll really enjoy that AND it’ll make bedtime that evening all the more easy when they pass out from exhaustion. Hee.
Don’t you remember sleep overs when you were a kid? We wouldn’t care how tired we were, no matter how busy the day, we would stay up at late as we could. Even if we were sent to bed we stayed up all night talking and giggling. We crashed out the next day… never the night of.
