Today’s workday has been fabulous. I’ve had small things to do here and there but for the most part it’s been easy and quiet. I like days like this just prior to an extended absence. There’s nothing worse than being told on the Thursday before a vacation that you have to make 40 books for a Friday morning meeting. So let’s hope that doesn’t happen tomorrow!
In the meantime, I’m pretty positive I’ll be able to leave work early on Friday. The clockwatcher is out that day, as will be two of my bosses. The temp comes in early Friday morning for a few hours of training. Then at lunch all the admins are getting together to have lunch together in the conference rooms. At that point I believe I’ll be able to go home and let my maternity leave officially begin! YAY!
