People – I have officially lost 17 pounds. SEVENTEEN POUNDS!! That rocks! I knew last night that I’d show a loss this morning. I’ve started weighing myself before bed, just to try and gauge what I might be in the morning. Last night before bed I weighed the same as I did in the morning. So I pretty much knew the scale would show another 1.5 pounds gone this morning – and it did. After far as the medical study, I’ve now lost 8 pounds in three weeks. If I can lose another 2 pounds in the next seven days, it will mean I lost 10 pounds in one month, and I’m sure the doc at my appointment next Wednesday will be satisfied with that.
I only have 13 more pounds to lose to reach my first goal. I have 9 1/2 weeks to do it – I’m pretty confident at this point that it can be done. That’s “only” 1.4 pounds a week. My excitement and motivation levels are so high right now that I’m confident about reaching that goal now.
AND, imagine how happy I was to hear that in the informal race Denis and I have going, I’ve lost 1/2 a pound more than him. Of course, I started in December and he only started at the beginning of Lent, but I’m still IN THE LEAD! *lol*
Today I’m wearing a shirt that used to fit perfectly on me – and I’m positively swamped in it. It’s massive, really. LOVE IT.
Update after WW lunch meeting: Well, my weigh-in for WW was good today. According to their scales I’ve lost 3.4 lbs since last Tuesday. The meeting was very good – the leader is EXCELLENT at generating conversation and feedback from all the ladies.
Yes, Jane is officially ahead in our arms (and legs and tummy and other weight loss) race. I have another 8 pounds to reach my goal. I might push it and try to loss another five more pounds after that. I like going to the gym every other day. Hasn’t been a pain to get there or work out once I’m there, besides when I’m sick. And I have been feeling my seasonal allergies full-on starting this weekend. Not fun. But I won’t let it slow me down. I must beat Jaynee!!! LOL
It’s a lose, lose, lose situation. I lose weight, she loses weight and we both lose the need to eat 16 ounces of cooked meat every night.
Ya’ll are awesome! How can I help you stay on track when you are here?
Don’t you worry about a thing, Marmie – just do what you always do. *I’M* the one that needs to stay on track – and I will.
Marmie, I won’t be eating Easter dinner with the family.
Just kidding. I just have to watch my portions, continue to stop snacking, pass on dessert and continue my exercise. I think I’ll dust off Pop’s exercise bike while I’m there.
Any chance he wants to give it up? I know a willing home.

This is so exciting for you, Jaynee! I have no doubt you will blow past your goal in no time! Wow. I’m seriously impressed. 🙂
That’s so awesome! And you’re not fluctuating up and down, just a steady decline!
