I need to get my car worked on. I’m long overdue for an oil change, and I am probably in need of not only a tire rotation but a brake pad replacement. I’m notorious for not taking care of my cars very well. When I bought the car I drive now I made a vow to take better care of it. And I did okay – I got an oil change every 4,000 miles or so, until we moved last year. I’ve now driven about 10,000 miles OVER the mile point in which they recommend an oilchange. And after driving 33,000 I haven’t had my brake pads looked at once. I have had the tires rotated once that I can recall.
Down here we don’t know any mechanics, and I’ve heard too many horror stories about one certain place that I used to frequent (rhymes with Sniffy Goob). So the time may have come for me to consider checking out AAMCO. Right now they have a great mail in rebate offering a free oilchange with any other service over $50. With me in need of brake pads and tire rotation, the oil change would be a nice freebie considering those things cost between $15-20 a shot. I also love that they are running a contest right now for a four-day trip to Hollwood that includes a day with the stuntman from the last Die Hard movie. That’s hilarious and awesome.
