Can’t Sleep

It’s 1:37 a.m. and I can’t sleep. I laid in bed for over an hour just tossing and turning. At some point I know I was ALMOST asleep and then Cooper jumped on the bed and woke me up again. That was an hour ago. I finally gave up and came up onto the computer to read a few blogs.

I really should go back down and try to sleep. My body knows it’s tired (as proof: I just yawned). But I know that I’ll get down there and I’ll just lay there again, my mind going 1000 mph with thoughts about everything that’s going on in our lives – my job, Denis’ job, our kids, our future, the house we hope to build, our vacation in May, our church’s annual Easter Egg Hunt, planning Glad-ball’s bridal shower for June, her wedding in August, my sister’s pregnancy. You name it – it’s all jumbled up in my head at the moment.

Update at 2:03 a.m.: I’m still awake. I tried to sleep to no avail. So I came back up and updated my resume. I haven’t changed it since I started with The Company back in July and I figured I should go ahead and add in the new stuff so that I always have a current one available should I need it. Not that I’m looking to leave The Company anytime soon. But it’s nice to have. As I reviewed it, I have to say – I have a really nice resume. Sure, there are six jobs in the past 11 years, but two jobs were the same company at different times (1997-1999, 2000-2005), and two other jobs had the same boss (1999-2000). So you could say that it’s four jobs in 11 years if you wanted to push it.

I’ve just been looking for easier ways to catch mice and I stumbled across your site. You should be proud ,as I’m sure you and your husband are, your children are beautiful.
I live in Australia and found it fascinating that you have Hi-5 ……my youngest Harrison is 2 1/2 years old and loves Hi-5 and The Wiggles, I’m sure you would know most of the songs off by heart.
Keep up the wonderful work and get some sleep!!!!.
    Cheers
    Kim
