Today ended up being a busy day! We went over to Bed Bath & Beyond and bought the two extra curtains as well as a couple other things. Then we headed home with lunch after which I headed over to Home Depot with CootieBoy. I agonized over what shade of red to get for the wall – either super deep red to the point where it almost seemed like a plum, to a bit brighter but dark brick red tone. After consulting with the kid behind the counter we opted for the dark brick red tone. I had thought about painting tonight but the rest of the day was so busy that I’ve decided to hold off.
I spent a long time at Home Depot and by the time I got home we only had two hours or so before it was time to go to the Orientation Night that our church holds for people interested in getting more plugged in. Unfortunately, they didn’t have childcare (despite saying in past announcements that they would), so it was a bit chaotic since the kids were not willing to sit and listen to the pastor talk about Life Groups and the history of the church’s beginnings.
Got home around 7:30 p.m., let the kids run around for a few minutes, then picked up their bedrooms (CootieGirl doesn’t believe in playing with one thing and then putting it away when something else catches her eye – she believes in pulling EVERYTHING out and then ignoring it all). Kids finally were asleep by 8:30 p.m.
Tomorrow I have to be AT CHURCH at 7:30 a.m. which means I need to leave by 7:15 a.m. which means I should be up by 6:15 a.m. That hurts. I usually GET UP at 7:15 a.m.!!!
