Is it Sunday already? Man, I feel like my weekend just started.
Yesterday I got up at 3:30 a.m. and left the house at 5 a.m. to drive to Raleigh, NC for a craft market. It was a complete bust – I didn’t sell anything and only passed out about a dozen business cards. What’s funny is that at 3:30 a.m. when the alarm went off I thought, “Maybe I’ll just take the $40 application fee as a loss and stay home today. But no – I had to go (and waste $50 in gas) – thereby wasting a total of $90 (plus $ for food on the way home). *sigh* That was my last market of the year, and now I’ll concentrate on revamping my art website for 2008.
We did have time on Friday night to put up the kids’ tree. It’s a very cute 4′ tree with that is prelit with multicolor lights. The kids had a lot of fun hanging their ornaments. Of course, gravity was not on their side, and since they kept putting all their ornaments on the FRONT of the tree, eventually it fell over. But we put it upright and helped them spread out the ornaments and now it’s quite a lovely little tree. Then Denis and I put up our tree and got it strung with lights. Then last night we put on all the ornaments and it looks fabulous. I’m glad we got that second tree for the kids because we have a LOT of ornaments. I think they have ornament babies while they are in storage the rest of the year.
Today was church and now the kids are in the TV room listening to Christmas music while Denis is out at the store looking for some wreaths to hang outside the house. Usually we only do minor outside decorating, but this year he wants to go all out.
