Book: Second Chance

C’mon, it’s a Danielle Steel, I’m not expecting great literature. And neither would you. I have said it often that I read Danielle Steel novels to clear my head while in preparation to start reading a more intensive book.

“Second Chance” follows a magazine editor who meets and falls for an ad exec that is completely the opposite of her in every way. She has never married while he’s a widow with two adult kids. She wears designer labels, he wears three piece suits. And so on. Trial and tribulations follow, blah blah blah.

As I said, it’s no “Anna Karenina” but it passes the time, and that’s all I can ask for.

On the general books front, I’m pleased that I’m down to just 31 books on my list of books to be read. I’m going to read a few quick pulp fiction books to get it down to 25 and then delve into something more serious. But knowing that Christmas is coming (which means book purchases) I feel the sudden need to really get through some books pretty quickly.
