I love Francine Rivers. She’s a Christian author who writes really in-depth books with fascinating characters and interesting plotlines. One of my favorite trilogies of ALL TIME is her “Mark of the Lion” series. That was a series that I literally could not put down and would stay up all night to keep reading.
“And The Shofar Blew” was no different. Set in a small town, this story follows the lives of a pastor and his wife who are called to breath life into a dying church. But over the course of twenty years, the pastor leaves behind his faith while trying to build a mega-church and make his father (a famous evangelist) proud, and all those around him can only pray he’ll find God again. Doesn’t sound like much, but it was a very good read.
