Blanket Workspace

So I’ve been blogging over on my other website about the need I’ll eventually have to have a dedicated workspace for my blanket making business. The guest room is okay, but since it’s a guestroom AND I have to be vigilant to make sure the cats don’t get in there, it’s a bit of a pain to work in there. Also, it’s hard to cut straight lines in the fleece fabric when you are doing it on a nice cushy pillow-top mattress.

On the other blog I mentioned how I’d almost like to have a separate garage type space just for my stuff as opposed to a room in the house. I envision shelving along one entire wall, a HUGE waist-high worktable surface that is big enough to lay out the pieces for a king-size blanket with room to spare. That would be awesome.

Another other furniture or storage would come in handy. I mean, I don’t need Laboratory Furniture or anything, but the “Build a Table” function at Formaspace.com opens up the possibility of a really cool customized worktable “island”.
