With my apologies to Dad and Cathi, I put back the original font colors that came with this theme. The more I looked at the brighter font color the more jarring it looked – the grey is much easier to read compared to the light yellow I put up.
The good news? Those of you who read through my RSS don’t have to worry about the dark background/light font issue, and if you see a post you like you can click in from your RSS, make your comment, and zoom back out (that’s what I do on all the blogs I read and comment on). If you DON’T read Cootiehog via RSS and have decided this new theme is hard on your eyes, feel free to sign up for the RSS feed (see far right sidebar) – reading blogs in RSS is the only way to go if you read a lot of them (like I do).
P.S. to Cathi – I sometimes would love to comment on your blog, but can’t because you don’t only allow specific types of accounts for commenting. If you were to open that up to allow more types of accounts to comment, I could comment there!!
If I get to add my two cents I hate this new “black” background too. I’m glad at least Jaynee likes it. Even if all of her readers find something wrong with it. LOL Good-bye PPP.
What does PPP have to do with it? They don’t care what kind of theme I have.
And I’m working on a solution because I really like this theme. I’m trying to see if I can put a soft grey background ONLY on the actual POST text and use a black font. That’ll lessen the darkness everyone is complaining about. The problem is the CSS is so detailed that it’s harder than it normally is to add a box around the post text.
I think for me, the issue is that the background for the post is not one continuous color. So part of the post is in the faded seam area and part is in the darker middle. That makes it harder to read.
